Stranger #143
Location: sat.morning at Elysian on Ash
I came by earlier to sit for a bit before class and tighten up some notes. Baristas turned friends know me there already (shouldn’t surprise you), and I was grabbing my americano from the bar when one of them pointed to an individual and said: “she has tattoos”. She noticed this, and turned to us to see what was going on, I immediately say “hey, I don’ know you, which is great!”. Before confusion went further, I explained the project, and without hesitation she agreed to share her piece:
“I don’t know, there isn’t much of a story to it. I really like rain and being from Vancouver it kind of makes sense. I have a blog called ‘Walking through Puddles’ so, you can tell rain is a constant throughout my life and I like it. Plus, I had never seen anybody with an umbrella tattoo. Yeah, this is pretty much why I got it”.
I thanked her for sharing. And she walked away. I thanked my friend again, and he gave me a high five. I found this really cool.
It is late now (1:44am) and I am finally calling it a day. I am exhausted, but didn’t want to leave the post for tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, you all!
